Standby CPD Transition to ParaPass

Over the coming months, Standby CPD subscribers will be transitioned over to our new CPD app, ParaPass. If you are planning to purchase a new subscription to Standby CPD, you may want to check out ParaPass first. It gives you access to Standby CPD, including multiple back issues, as well as questions based on the JRCALC Guidelines and Clinical Case Studies. All of this for just £39.99 a year (or £3.99 monthly). It is purely digital so you will not receive a paper copy of Standby CPD but you still have access to printable certificates for your CPD Portfolio. For more information on ParaPass, please click here.

If you use the Portfolio Builder website, there is no direct link from ParaPass as there is with Standby CPD. However, you will still be able to add your certificates by logging in separately to the Portfolio Builder and uploading your documents manually.

The Problem

You've been sent on Standby...again: what are you going to do? You could be developing your portfolio (careful the dust doesn't set off your allergies) with Standby CPD.

Standby CPD is just what you need!

  • Quick - Each issue will take you around 30 minutes to complete.
  • Certificated - Complete the assessment at the end of each issue and get a pretty piece of paper in return.
  • Case-study approach - See the relevance to your daily practice.
  • Evidence-based - It keeps you up-to-date with the latest research.
  • More playtime - You'd much rather do your CPD while at work and being paid, right?
  • Peer written and reviewed - It's written by paramedics and healthcare professionals and externally reviewed by practitioners and specialists in the field.
  • Pick it up / put it down - Published in booklet format, easy to fit in around your emergency calls.
  • Affordable - Yearly subscription starts at £45* (or £6.75 an issue).
  • Easy to pay - Set up direct debit or use a credit / debit card.

*College of Paramedics' member rate; normal subscription is £60 for 12 issues
